Cyclo Maniacs is a definitely a very good one, you earn cash by performing tricks and finishing in the top 3 in each race. A really nice feature is that their are 70 achievements in this game just like Xbox Live, when you unlock them you get $200 each. The game is very polished and has a lot of features you see in commercial games. You can use your money to acquire new in game items, you can unlock tons of different things including 26 tracks, costumes, upgrades, 20 different racing bikes and even new bikers. They even managed to fit in a racing haddock that eats people. If you need that little extra "boost" you can resort to using cheats.

Dirt Bike 2 is the successor of the original and highly successful Dirt Bike flash game. The original was one of the most challenging and addictive games to play which was based in doors with objects to try and overcome in a cautious manner. The sequel follows on from the original in a good way; quite simply you take that bike, roll it outside and go for a spin on some dangerously rocky terrain. Don't be mistaken though, just because you're outside it doesn't mean you can put your foot down. True to dirt bike tradition you have to go slow and steady mastering the maps until you can complete the level, at this point (which can take a while) it's time to put your foot down and try to go as fast as you can whilst still not crashing to get the best score possible.

Dirt Bike Championship is another good one from freeonlineflash games. I must admit it took a while to grow on me at first as you struggle to get to grips with the very good looking but extremely bumpy terrain and the AI works it's way through at what appears at first to be a flawless run. However as you get into the game and get a little bit better at it you realize the AI isn't designed to be super amazing instead it just doesn't make mistakes, which at least for me it took a while to get to that level. On one of the earlier levels I only managed to get through it by doing an accidental flying 360 which 99 times out 100 would have ended in me having to play the level again, but miraculously it landed and put me in the lead. It's a bit brighter and more colorful than your typical classic dirt bike game but it's not over the top and personally for a side view 2D game I think it looks great. With the massive number of dips and drops in the levels I find one of the most important aspects other than remembering the map is to mainly just accelerate at the right spots.

Adrenaline Challenge is one of my favourite free dirt bike games. Back when I was at college we had a few games of this style that everybody would compete on and try to be the best, this was one of them, and possibly the most fun. The camera view is very close to the bike so you can't see what's around you, it keeps you on your toes. It's very slick movement but often you need this to make the jumps. If you don't have the speed you can't successfully get up ramps then spin around to land on the level previously above you, which also makes it important to try and balance yourself in mid-air before you land. It certainly has tricky moments too where you have to slow down or try to balance one wheel on something as you move across. Completing levels within a certain amount of time allows you to make changes to your bike and character. The changes to your character are purely cosmetic although look pretty cool, but the adjustments to your bike do make a difference. One thing that separates this game is that it isn't move from the left (the start) to the right (towards the finish) but you move in different directions including up and down whilst collect tags, once all the tags are collect you move to where the finish tag is. Sometimes the finish might be back where you started, so you have a skillful speedy up hill section and cautious downhill section. I'd highly recommend this game to anybody for a bit of fun.
